De specialisatie tot oogarts volbracht zij in juli 2014, waarna zij in september dat jaar promoveerde op het onderwerp "Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) - beware of optical illusions".
Per augustus 2014 is zij werkzaam bij Oogziekenhuis Zonnestraal op de vestigingen Lelystad en Amsterdam, wat per 1 juli 2019 is overgegaan naar Bergman Clinics | Ogen.
